Biography: Harry Michael Cheney- "Mike" age 78, went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 22, 2020.

Mike was born October 26, 1941. He served in the US Army and received an honorable discharge.
Mike traveled America chasing the NASCAR Racing circuit.

Mike was a long time member of the VFW, local #9095. He also was active in the AOOB organization benefiting the Arkansas Children's Dreams Inc.

He worked for Democratic Printing and Lithographing Company for 30 years.

Mike was the son of the late Elizabeth Porter Cheney and OC Cheney Jr.

Survivors include Ann Chotard, Janet Hyde, Carol Wiley, Jack Cheney Jr. and many family and friends.

Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 28, 2020 at Little Rock National Cemetery, 2523 Springer Blvd, Little Rock, Arkansas 72206.

Mike Cheney was one of a kind. He was always ready with a big hug and a smile. I’m glad I got to see him some over the last couple of years. R.I.P. Cheney...you will be missed.

Mikey was a good friend. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. I got my job at DP&L thru him. We had a great time on his trips to Oaklawn. And enjoyed razzing each other, him being A Cardinals fan and me being a Cubs fan. I’ll miss you Mikey. God bless you.

Mike was a sweet soul and will be missed. Mike introduced my husband to the Talladega Raceway and Winston enjoyed it immensely! Rest in peace!

Mike was a character. Knew him from VFW 9095, as I served him a beer or two. He was good to me from the beginning! My thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. He will be missed!! Rest in peace my friend....

I will miss Mike. I got to know him through the VFW Post 9095. Mike didn’t like me very much; however I’m so proud to say that we both got things settled before he is gone to be an Angel! Mike was a very generous soul! I will miss him. I send my deep sympathy to all his family!
