Biography:

William David “Bill” Basinger, 90, of Little Rock, AR arrived in the loving arms of Jesus on Wednesday, January 29th, 2020.
Bill was born in Lima, Ohio on April 13th, 1929. He attended college at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana where he earned a Masters degree in Education.
 
Bill served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska where he met his wife Mary Jo Ray. They were married for 62 years.
 
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mary Basinger. He is survived by his wife Mary Jo Basinger, sister Elaine Janney, children Jill Basinger Whitehead (Tom) and David Basinger (Lacy), grandchildren Amy Huggins (Matt), Sara Woodall (Bill), Brennan Basinger, Meredith Basinger, Mary Frances Basinger, Jessica Basinger, and great grandchild Miles Woodall.
 
Bill was a retired art teacher and business owner. His hobbies included pottery and biking. He was an avid sports fan. He was a member of Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock, AR. He will be dearly missed by his beloved family.
 
A private family gathering will be held to celebrate and honor Bills life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his honor to the Humane Society of Pulaski County. Arrangements by Ruebel Funeral Home. www.ruebelfuneralhome.com

Mr. Bill was one of the kindest people we have ever known. His faithfulness all the years he helped with the LTCare food ministry is just one example of his Christ-like service to others. Sad for Miss Mary Jo and the family, but we know there is great joy in heaven. Prayers for all who loved him.
