Biography: Lisa Grace Finch Dearborn softly and tenderly made her way home on November 8, 2019.  Born in Little Rock on Mother’s Day, May 10, 1959, sweet and nurturing was her nature. She was a free spirit and beautiful soul who loved everyone, little children especially, which led to her eventual career path, as well as her greatest accomplishment, being a wonderful mother to her two sons.  Although Lisa grew up and eventually settled back down in Little Rock, she moved with her young family to Naples, Florida, in 1989, then to Steamboat Springs, Colorado in 1993 until returning to Hot Springs and then Little Rock in 1997.  As much as she loved living near the beach and in the Rocky Mountains, she also loved to travel and described the month she spent touring Europe in the mid 90’s as an experience of a lifetime.

Lisa loved to laugh and had one of the best.  She was warm and welcoming to everyone, loved to cuddle and hug, and then there was the eyebrow.  She had a sense and a knowing and when she raised it, you knew it.

Lisa is lovingly remembered by her best friend and fiancé, Scott Meeks, her sons Dylan Dearborn and Nathan Dearborn, and their wives Katy and Nancy; her grandchildren Layla, Lucy and Seth Dearborn; her sisters, Becki Finch, Julie Fullerton, and Laura Finch; the father of their children, Steve Dearborn; as well as her nieces and nephews.  She has been reunited with her mother, Delores Gray Finch and Dad, Richard Mizell Finch, as well as grandparents, Nana, Bom Bom, Ninny, and Dado.

Lisa’s life will be celebrated Friday, November 15, 2019, at 3:00 PM at Ruebel Funeral in Little Rock.  Reception to follow at Cantina Laredo.

I’m so saddened to read this. Lisa and I practically lived at one another’s homes when we were in elementary school. It was at her home that I discovered the joy of peanut butter pancakes and my first taste of venison at Easter at their cabin. We had a blast riding in her Dad’s fire truck and were amazed by his car phone. Lisa and I shared many ups and downs as kids and I will always think of her as one of my first best friends.

Dear Laura, Julie , Becki, Scott, Dylan, Nathan and all the family. I'm so sorry for your loss. Lisa what's my best friend growing up and maid of honor in my wedding. She taught me so many things in life when we were young, how to be a good mom, how to be a good friend and how to enjoy life! We had many fun adventures!! Such a sweet soul. Smart caring and loving. I'm thankful to have reconnected to the family in these recent years. God bless you at this difficult time. Love, Laurie
