I am so terribly sorry for the loss of a great person. Mackey was my first cousin & I only just heard about his passing. I would have attended his funeral, as I live in Iowa. I would liked to have met the rest of his family. My thoughts & prayers go to his family & friends. I think of him often & only have good memories of him. I remember his dad & his great sense of humor too. Uncle Orrin always had us in stitches. I do wish I could have gotten to know his family. Know you all are in my prayers.

Mac touched many people lives and made a great impression on us during his years of work at ( ABCBS/ HA), and he probably didn't realize it... but I am one of those. His compassion and kindness to others will be greatly missed. May God Bless and Keep you and your family.

Mac was one of a kind! I have had the privilege of knowing and working with Mac for the past 20 years at HA/ABCBS. He is probably the smartest person most of us have ever known and always challenged me which I loved. From the beginning we had a common bond talking Volkswagen's as we both had vintage ones we were restoring at the time. His dry humor jokes that not everyone would get is what I loved about him. He could dish it out and so could I. I just can't express how much he will be missed. Prayers for the family in this difficult time. Always remember the good times and carry those memories forward with you.

I had the pleasure and privilege of working with Mac at ABCBS. Mac is a genius and has the ability to explain ideas and solutions in terms that the rest of us ordinary folks can understand. His multitasking abilities are amazing. He made time to help me with solutions and made me laugh with his sense of humor. I still think of Mac in the present tense - I miss him. I grieve for your loss and wish you peace and comfort.

Charlotte, Maggie, Lyndsay, Jeanne-Marie, and Mac - you’re in our thoughts and prayers. Can’t find the words to express our sorrow for your loss. Mac’s sense of humor and dry wit were only topped by his fierce love for his family. And his grandbabies ruled - as it should be. The world is a little darker without him.

I have worked with Mac for almost 25 years. He was the best of the best and not only is there a giant hole felt by his family with his absence, there is a giant hole felt by his work family also. Charlotte, Maggie, Lyndsey, Jeanne-Marie and Mac..you were all his joy and the light in his eyes but the sparkle was definitely there when he talked about his grandbabies. Such love, you were all blessed with. My prayers are with you all as you walk through this journey without him. God Bless and Keep you all.

My deepest condolence for your loss. There are not enough words to say what a loss and void Mac's passing will leave in this world. Mac was a brilliant, genius in my book. And definitely the most quick witted I know. He will be missed but remembered in my heart forever. Teresa Underwood
