Biography: Edith Buchanan Baney, 101, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away September 2nd, 2019. She was born in Prairie County, Arkansas on September 11th, 1917 to Florence Edith Stanley and Lee Elmer Buchanan.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, FP Baney; her parents; and twelve siblings. She is survived by her son, Stan Baney (Betty) of Cabot, Arkansas; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; and many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She retired from the Federal Reserve Bank in 1982 after 29 years of service. She was a member of Little Rock’s First Baptist Church and loved all of her family and friends, whom she often enjoyed cooking for.
Visitation will be held at Ruebel Funeral Home, 6313 W. Markham St. Little Rock, Arkansas on Wednesday, September 4th, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 5th, 2019 at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Bryant, Arkansas.
