Biography: Randall Scott Bueter, 66, of Little Rock, passed away on August 29, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 23, 1953, in Danville, Illinois to Barbara Pearson Bueter and the late Teddy Elmer Bueter.

Growing up in Little Rock, Randy graduated from Catholic High School for Boys in 1971, then attended Washington University in St. Louis graduating with a B.A. degree in Biology in 1975. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Obtaining a license in real estate, he partnered with his father at Bueter Realty of Little Rock and became President of that company from 1980—1986. He served on the board of the Arkansas Realtors Association and was a past President of the Little Rock Realtors Association, where in 1986 he was selected Realtor of the Year. After his father’s retirement, Randy was Executive Vice President of Block Realty and Executive Vice President of Arkansas Federal Savings Bank. Randy then joined his wife Patricia at Bueter Designs and Construction where they remodeled, designed, and built homes and commercial property.  During which he attended the University of Arkansas Bowen School of Law graduating with a J.D. degree in 1992.

Admitted to practice in Arkansas and Tennessee, in 1995 Randy joined Wilson & Associates law firm in Little Rock where he became a partner in 1999 and member of the Executive Committee. He led the firm’s Closing Department in both Arkansas and Tennessee, and he also established a new title insurance agency, “Attorney’s Title Group,” which he managed. He was a distinguished attorney for over 25 years.

He was a man of many accomplishments in the fields of law, banking, real estate, and homebuilding. “His insight into the real estate challenges of his day was unsurpassed and of enormous benefit to his clients, partners and colleagues,” according to a member of his firm.

Randy was involved in many national organizations. He served on boards, committees, as a panelist and speaker at various national industry seminars.

Known as devoted and unwavering, he is described by his lifelong friends as: “champ and charmer,” “inclusive and solid,” “true and honest,” “wise and caring,” with “courage and character.”

He was a loving and loyal husband, father and provider of the highest order, always putting his family’s needs before his own. Randy adored his wife of 43 years; his children and grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he valued family more than anything else. He was never happier than with them and he will be terribly missed.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Pearson Bueter of Little Rock; wife, Patricia McMath Bueter of Little Rock; his three daughters, Sydney Bueter Blackmon, wife of Bentley, of Little Rock; Bonnie Kate Bueter of Keller, Texas; and Jennifer Bueter Taber, wife of Grant, of Dallas, Texas; and seven wonderful  grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 4th, 2019 at 10 am at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Little Rock with a reception to follow in Morrison Hall. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m at Ruebel Funeral Home in Little Rock.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to his church home, St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, 20900 Chenal Pkwy, Little Rock, AR 72223.

Randy, my good friend, I will miss you and so will everyone in the real estate industry.
Even though I spoke to Randy several times this past year, as our professional paths often crossed, true to form, he never told me of his illness. Randy and I have known each other for so very long. When he was with his Dad at Bueter Realty, I was at Pulaski County Title on the title and closing side which is how we first got to know each other. Coincidentally, he and I, both young, then went to law school. After law school both Randy and I shared the real life real estate industry and utilized those lessons with the legal field. We were members of various real estate committees with the Arkansas Bar Association, although, Randy was by far more involved and contributed so much more to other attorneys through his many seminar presentations. Randy was generous that way. I never saw him without a smile on his face and even a smile in his voice when we spoke on the phone. Randy has so many good friends in the real estate industry, particularly his lawyer colleagues, and we will all miss him so very much. He and I were born the same year and it is tragic to learn of his early departure from this earth. With tears in my eyes let me say, love ya, man.
