Biography:
Pearlie Mae Stanley Childress was born November 13, 1925 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Edward and Ella Pearl Stanley. Mrs. Childress passed away July 13, 2019 in Little Rock, Arkansas at the age of 93.
Pearlie graduated from Pine Bluff High School and was a dedicated homemaker who served many years as a volunteer with the Little Rock Public School District. Pearlie was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved fishing.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of forty-three years, Carl Childress and nine brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Smith and husband Gary of Mabelvale; sister, Florence Decker of Nacogdoches, Texas; grandchildren, Matthew Smith and his wife April, Sean Smith, Aaron Smith ; great-grandson, Harrison Smith, and her “pup dog” , Suzy.
A graveside service will be held at Noon on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Elmwood Cemetery in Morrilton, Arkansas with Bro. Mark Harris officiating.
