Biography:
Luna Green Halfacre Craver Bracey, 97, died Saturday, July 6, 2019 at her home. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Alcie Green Weaver Halfacre and Fredrick Augustus Halfacre, her husbands, William Douglas Craver and John Villepique Bracey, her son, William Justin Craver and his wife, Mary Jo Craver; brothers, Russell Lafayette Halfacre, Earl Gray Halfacre; sisters, Verna Katherin Brown, Ora Marceline Rowland, and two nephews, Bruce Halfacre and Chuck Zachary.
Luna is survived by her sister, Nancy Beaton Zachary, brother, Dearl Augusta Halfacre, her son, Randall Douglas Craver and his wife, Cathleen O'Connor Craver; grandchildren, Laura Everson Landry, Lily Craver, Aiden O’Connor Craver, Jason Taylor, and several nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
Luna was born in Ripley, Tennessee on April 22, 1922 and moved to Memphis after high school. She met her husband, William Douglas Craver, they were married on November 10, 1946 and moved to Oklahoma City. Luna and Doug eventually moved to Little Rock in 1953 and raised two sons.
In 1966 Luna became a realtor and started Craver Realty Co. After the death of her first husband in 1987, she married John Bracey in 1996. She has been a member of the Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church since 1953, most recently as a member of The United Methodist Women’s’ Evelyn Stowers Circle. Her hobbies included bridge and square dancing.
Visitation will be held at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church (4823 Woodlawn Dr, Little Rock, AR 72205) on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 9AM, the funeral service will follow at 10AM. A reception will be at the church after the service, with a burial at Pinecrest Memorial Park at 12PM.
