Dear Claxton Family: I am still in shock over Robert's passing ! It is so sad that he should die so young. He was a great guy who was loved by many.He always reminded me of a young Robert Redford. Although he graduated from Hall High School in 1978, he was fraternity brothers with several of my Catholic High classmates from the Class of 1977. Bob and I became good friends as part of our single guy group that would attend social functions, have dinner together and attend Arkansas Travelers games especially at the old Ray Winder Field. We had a lot of fun ! He was always upbeat and positive and fun to be around. He spoke lovingly of his mother and his sister and of his concern for them. I also had a mother who was a widow and a sister. He called me earlier this spring to offer me tickets ( as always ) to the Travelers games this season.I did not get a chance to go. Our good friend Lee Bolls passed away in early June this year. I did not see Bob at the services for Lee on June 12th and 13th so I called him but I never heard back from him. I had no idea that he was ill or that I would not hear his melodious voice again. We will miss him greatly !! May he rest in the Peace of Christ ! Reg Rogers Catholic High Class of 1977

Some of my earliest memories are playing with Bob when we were children. We lived down the street from each other in Wynne and he was one of my best friends.
We played together constantly.
I remember Bob liked to garden.
I thought it was work but it was play to him. He loved digging in the dirt and watching his vegetables grow.
I can still see him running across the yard in short pants. Barefoot, no shirt, carrying a hoe that was twice as big as him to work in his backyard garden. Hooping, hollering, laughing, being loud and fun. That white blond hair of his shining in the summer sun.

We were happy kids growing up in the early 60’s without a care in the world.
It was a beautiful. We were blessed.
Enjoy eternity Bobby.
See you there my friend.
God Bless and comfort you Ms. Claxton and Amy. Y’all are in my thoughts and prayers.

First I want so extend my heart felt condolences to Bob’s mother and sister. I am very saddened that I am just not hearing of his passing and was not able to attend his service. It’s been many years since Bob and my paths have crossed - there was a time it seem that we ran into each other on a regular basis after our High School years at Hall. Now is seems not enough.
Rest In Peace my friend.

I'm shocked and sorry to hear this. Bob was a genuine guy. Met him playing golf years ago, and he was always fun to be around. Never seemed to lack for good humor. In fact, my constant line for him when I ran into him somewhere, I'd say to him that this MUST be the place to be, because he always seemed to be at the coolest events/places. Always. My prayers to his family.

Bob was a dear friend. We shared special experiences, life lessons and funny stories. Along with serious emotions and sadness in both of our heads, we shared candidly. He was open with me but we both had deep stories. Once he told a joke and I spewed drink across the table. We laughed together and perturbed each other too. Loved our conversations AND our bantering. So saddened for our loss. Remember always, my close, dear friend
