Camille Yarnell Fort

Camille Yarnell Fort

Jul 8th, 1951 - May 17th, 2019

Biography:

Camille Yarnell Fort, age 67 of Little Rock, passed away unexpectedly at her home on May 17, 2019.  She was born to the late Albert Yarnell and Mary Ann Lawrence on July 8, 1951.She was preceded in death by her beloved Joe Ferrell Fort whom she loved with all her heart.  She was also preceded in death by her brother Reagan Yarnell.  She is survived by her only son, Sterling Fisher (Ashley) and grandson Will Fisher, sisters Laura Long Candau (Rob), Melissa Yarnell, and brother Rogers Yarnell.  She is also survived by her precious nieces and nephews:  Dallas Yarnell (Aaron), Christina Snider (Jay), Monique Yarnell, Victoria Adams (Brady), Josh Candau (Megan), Hilton Hoover, Savannah Candau and Olivia Camille Candau.  She is also survived by her treasured animals, Tuscan Tiger, Bandit and Princess Pam.

Camille grew up in Searcy, Arkansas and enjoyed spending time on her family’s farm fishing, playing and hunting.  She graduated from Hall High School and attended UALR.  She met Joe and fell in love and remained so for the next 30 years.  Together they built Fort Valley and developed Fort Engineering.  Camille managed their property and household like she managed everything:  with the full force of her nature.

Camille was an accomplished horsewoman. She bred successfulquarterhorses and sold their offspring with large success.  She showed AQHA Western Pleasure for many years with Joe and Sterling there to cheer her on.  In her later years, Joe built her a roundpin, a lifelong dream.  She was an animal lover until the day she died with many of her animals having predeceased her, each one a heartbreak.  She is now joining them across the rainbow bridge.  Camille was a woman of God and believed very strongly in her faith in Jesus Christ and has gone on to join her Lord and Savior.

Camille was a tenacious, spirited, loving woman and she will be missed by all who knew her.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society, 14600 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72210 or online at warmhearts.org.

While words fail to capture the pain of losing a loved one,  we look forward to the time when words will fail to capture the joy of having our heavenly Father returning  our  loved ones to us.

So sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the words spoken at Revelation 21:3,4 “With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away".
