Biography: Geraldine ?Ged? Canby Carroll, 92, of Little Rock, died Tuesday, January 22, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Carroll; her parents, Geraldine and John William Canby; and a sister, Beverly C. McGee. After graduation from Little Rock High School, she attended Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia for two years before graduating from the University of Arkansas where she was a member of Chi Omega. Having grown up and married at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, she and her family later joined St. Mark?s Episcopal Church where she had served as Altar Guild chairman and had taught Sunday School. She was a member of Junior League of Little Rock, Chi Omega Alumnae, Arkansas Arts Center, Fine Arts Club, Winthrop Rockefeller Cancer Institute Auxiliary, Country Club of Little Rock, and St. Mark?s Episcopal Church. Her survivors include son Charles F. Carroll, Jr. (Lee Ellen), son Mark C. Carroll, son John C. Carroll (Karen). Surviving grandchildren are Charles F. Carroll, III and Andrew Carroll (Amanda), Mark C. Carroll, Jr. (Natalie), Larren Grace Carroll, Kristen Davis (Jonnathan) and Jennifer Davis (Andrew), and five greatgrandchildren. A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Ruebel Funeral Home. Private burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park prior to the memorial at St. Mark?s Episcopal Church on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 11 a.m. with a reception following the service. I'm so sorry we didn't know about your mother until today. She was the ultimate southern lady. You were so lucky to have had her with you for so many years. Now she is with your dad and happy. Prayers for all of you.
