Biography: Hazel Jarratt Curry was born in Warren, Arkansas to the late Robert and Lela on January 15, 1912. Hazel left this life for her heavenly home on December 24, 2018. She was twenty-two days short of being 107 years old. Hazel married Corbon A. Curry. They had three sons and a daughter. Hazel retired from the state auditor?s office. Hazel was an accomplished seamstress, loved to knit, work puzzles, and she was known for her sweet notes of encouragement. Hazel loved Immanuel Baptist Church, where she was a member for 67 years. Hazel was dedicated to serving the Lord, loved life, and loved her family. Hazel had many friends of all ages. She enjoyed birds and knew the names of any you asked. Hazel was an excellent gardener and especially loved roses. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Charles Wayne Curry; three grandsons: Mike Haynie, Phillip Norman and Stephen Duncan; three brothers: Judson, Frank, and Paul Jarratt; two sisters: Aline Jarratt and Ruth Kersey; and a son-in-law Bob Beatty. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons Larry (Jamye) of Little Rock; Richard (Mary) of Louisville, KY; daughter Patsy Beatty; and daughter-in-law Janelle Curry; nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. A special thank you to Hazel's grandson, Jimmy Curry for his love and care. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church Tele-Bible. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Ruebel Funeral Home in Little Rock followed by a private family burial at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
