I want to extend my condolences to Cheryl's family, even tho I have never met you.

Cheryl was fun to be around & very helpful to us in Northwest Arkansas, as we worked hard to get our chapter set up, NWAAA. Cheryl made numerous trips to be of assistance to us & I, personally, appreciated it.

My thoughts & prayers are with all of her family & friends.

When I moved to Little Rock in September 2004 to teach as a professor at UALR Cheryl was one of the first persons that I met. I rented an apartment from her and she was so very helpful to me. I was not familiar with the Little Rock area or the university, and I recall going to Cheryl to get directions to the grocery store. I get somewhat confused with directions and I am also a little absent-minded, and I remember Cheryl and Carl giving me directions—at one point they even drew a map for me—to help me not only get to the store, but to get back! The store was only eight blocks away. Cheryl was always one of the first people to help someone out—she did that countless times in the two years that I was there, particularly with persons who had been displaced by Hurricane Katrina. God has already welcomed her with open arms because she was a kind and generous person to many, many people. I will miss her very much, and I will keep her in my daily prayers and meditations.

Carl, Kathy, Pam, Carla, Michael, & family members,
I am so sorry to hear of Cheryl's death. I am reminded of the Apostle Paul's words, "To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord." Though this has been a difficult time for all of you, as Cheryl entered into Heaven, it was the best of time ever in her life. That is saying a lot, when you think of all the good times through the years. I will always remember her sense of humor and the laughter, and will cherish those times, but look forward to the reunion day to come.

I pray that God will comfort and strengthen you, and that His peace that passes understanding will flood your lives during these days.

In the short time I knew Cheryl (3 years) she was full of life! She spread joy to others even in her time of sickness. She never once gave you the impression that cancer was going to take her down. She was very courageous! She will be missed. I am truly sorry for your loss Carl.

Carl, Charles Evans and I were residents of Lanai for almost 3 years. Cheryl was always a wonderful manager and certainly created a sense of community for us all. I never knew that Cheryl was sick at all. Be strong and know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Cheryl was a dear friend. She was always there for me. I am going to miss her dearly. She always had a good attitude on everything. After she found out about her breast cancer, she never complained about how she felt, she always put everyone and everything before herself.
