Biography: Mary Stockley East, widow of Jack East, Jr. died October 25, 2018. Born in Memphis on October 11, 1927, Mrs. East was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ambrose Stockley, (Emma Ridgway) who pre-deceased her. She was also pre-deceased by her son, Charles, her brother, Harry Stockley, her sister, Elizabeth Mitchell (H. Maurice) of Little Rock, and her brother, James R. Stockley of Marion, AR. She is survived by her son, Jack East III (Maryann) and her daughter, Adele Lloyd (William M.) all of Little Rock. Other survivors include her sister, Margaret Gregory (Noel), her sister-in-law, Tommie Stockley of Marion, AR, her grandchildren, Mollie Birch (Brent) and Joshua Lloyd. Her great-grandchildren are Emma and Hayes Tribell, Owen Lloyd, and Natalee Dyess. Mrs. East?s family moved to Marion, AR from Memphis when she was seven and she attended school there. She later graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where she was a Chi Omega. After her marriage to Jack East, Jr. she lived only in Little Rock. She was a member and elder of Second Presbyterian Church, sustaining member of the Junior League of Little Rock and the National Society of Colonial Dames of America in Arkansas. A graveside service for family members will occur on October 29, 2018 prior to the funeral services, which will be held on October 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Second Presbyterian Church, 600 Pleasant Valley Drive, Little Rock, AR 72227, with a reception following the services.
