Biography: Mrs. Annette Luck Norman, of Russellville, passed away on October 13, 2018 in Russellville, AR. She was born in Russellville on September 24, 1921 to the late Fleming Marshall Luck and Eula Blanche Wright. She was the first female born in St. Mary?s hospital. Mrs. Norman graduated from Russellville High School and later from Arkansas Tech. The student body elected her to Homecoming Court at both schools. Mrs. Norman was previously active in the American Cancer Society in Rogers, Arkansas. As a breast cancer survivor herself, she facilitated support groups and served as a mentor for breast cancer survivors through a program associated with Saint Mary?s Hospital in Rogers. She was an officer and member of PEO. Mrs. Norman taught kindergarten music classes. She also advocated for many ?special needs? students attending public schools making sure they had teachers and adequate tools for learning. She received many awards and special recognition in the field of special education. She was formerly an active member of First United Methodist Church in Joplin, Missouri, of Central Methodist Church in Rogers, and of Saint Paul United Methodist Church in Little Rock. Mrs. Norman is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Lewis B. Norman. She is survived by her daughter Jo Luck of Little Rock from her first marriage to J. Merle Lemley of Russellville; daughter Marsha Lin Read and husband Stuart of Breckenridge, Colorado; and Ann Louise Danner of Osage Beach, Missouri; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Norman will be interred privately with her husband Lewis Norman in memory of their love at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. The family of Annette L. Norman wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the dedicated nurses and staff of Russellville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as well as Arkansas Hospice.
