God love the life that was Martha Ann Davis Fox. As a lifelong member of Pulaski Height UMC, I've been blessed with so many "church mamas"...mentors who were loving and guiding role models in my life. However, Martha Ann was "Church Mama #1", and I'll always be grateful for her love and guidance. Additionally, once my husband starting ushering at church and Martha Ann had some health concerns, Mark became her "personal usher" and made sure she was seated in comfort every Sunday.
Martha Ann, I'll miss seeing you in church, but you are always in my heart.

Grief never ends
But it changes.
It is a passage
Not a place to stay.
The sense of loss
Must give way
If we are to value
The Life that was lived.

To the Fox Family
We are sorry to hear about the passing of Martha A. D. Fox. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends during this hour of great sadness. Yes we are always sadden whenever we hear about the passing of anyone. As the scriptures reveal, that death is our enemy.( 1 Corinthians 15:26) May these brief remarks serves as words of comfort for all grieving hearts. The words comes from the scriptures, so they are God's words to you. From the scriptures God states that He would call or awaken our love ones back to life again.(John 5:28-29) This text serves as a personal guarantee from God that Martha will live again. That she will be reunited back with those who love and miss her. There are nine accounts in the Bible that touches on this grand resurrection blessing. Here is just on recorded at Acts 9:36-42. So pleas keep this promise near your hearts at all time . Remember that when God makes a promise, it becomes a reality. ( Titus 1:2)

Fox Family - I will forever cherish all of the wonderful memories of my ISM. Mrs. Martha Ann asked me again last Saturday when were we going on another trip - well she finally got to go on the best trip of all. The tired platitudes of "thinking and praying for you" seem just that, worn out, but as many times as you hear them, remember that the person truly means this there are just sometimes no other words. The matriarch may be gone, but the Fox family remains just that - still part of our family. Love to all of you. Elizabeth and Dave
