Biography: Jean C. Chisholm died on Sept. 4 in Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Roger K. Chisholm. Jean is survived by her three children, Margaret C. Massey (James) of Nashville, TN, Janet C. Webster and Elizabeth C. Jordan, both of Memphis, TN. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Nicholas Jordan, James Webster, Andrew Jordan, Anna Webster, Elizabeth Massey, Alexandra Massey, and William Massey. Jean graduated from Stephens College (AS, 1956), University of Missouri (BS, 1958), and Iowa State University (MS, 1960). She was a Registered Dietician who shared her love of science first as a professor at the University of Missouri and later in hospitals in Kansas, Illinois, and Arkansas. She was a driving force in the success of the Home Delivered Meals program in Memphis through Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association (MIFA). She and Roger continued their service to humanitarian rights and equality in Little Rock, volunteering for many organizations supporting social justice. Jean was an ordained elder of the PCUSA and was an active member of Second Presbyterian Church, where she became a Stephen minister, as well as an usher, communion server, and Stewpot volunteer. She greatly enjoyed delivering boxes of food to friends at the Arkansas Food Bank. A service of remembrance will be held 2 pm, Monday, Sept. 10, at Second Presbyterian. Memorials may be sent to Second Presbyterian Church, 600 Pleasant Valley Drive, Little Rock, AR, 72227.

Our hearts are saddened to hear of our dear friends passing. I do have a special memory as I had the privilege to serve both Jean and Janet communion the day before her passing.
She was a pillar of Second Presbyterian Church and will be missed by many.
Love and blessings of healing to each of the family members.
