I am grateful to have had the opportunity to meet such a free spirit such as Kathy. While I only spent a few occasions with Kathy, that?s all it took to fall in love with her infectious smile, laughter and wit. Karen and I have worked together for almost 10 years. I knew that every Tuesday Karen would be having ?sister time? with Kathy. I would always ask what they would be doing or what they planned or dinner. Karen would always light up and tell me with great detail the fun they had. Thanks to Karen?s invitation, I was blessed to go to several Runway For A Cure events in Kathy?s honor. These events celebrated love, life, endurance and faith. It always left me feeling grateful for life. It was amazing to see some of the strongest and happiest women. May her spirit live on in her family. I wish you all peace.

All of the lovely, heartfelt comments from everyone who Kathy has touched is a testament to the love she gave. I am one the many lucky people who has had the pleasure of creating wonderful memories with Kathy. So many fun times from our childhood, through high school, college, and eventually adulthood. I will miss seeing her, but her spirit will always be with us. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Family throughout this difficult time.

My mom did not lose any battle she ever fought. Her last lesson to me was to "pick your battles." She chose hers and she fought it as hard as anyone ever could.

One word to describe her. Relentless.

I love you, mom

Until our class reunion, and she was truly the life of the party, I hadn't seen Kathy since HS graduation. But I kept up with her and some small portion of her fight through Facebook. I do know this: she's now perfect. There is no sickness and no need to fight. Kathy is at peace, and I have no doubt, still the life of the heavenly party.
