Biography: Hazel Selby Cruthirds of Little Rock, died Thursday, May 03, 2007. She was born November 10, 1910 to the late Henry Eli and Katie Lydia Moser Selby. She was graduate of Little Rock High School, and attended Little Rock Junior College, the University of Mississippi where she received a Master’s degree in Literature. Hazel also attended Louisiana State University where she was part of the Library Science Program. She was past president of Arkansas Public School’s Librarians and a past member of Delta Kappa Gamma. She was preceded in death by her husband William Russell Cruthirds and a son William Russell Cruthrids, Jr. and a daughter Katherine Cruthirds. She is survived by her brother William “Bill” P. Selby and his wife Emy Lee Selby. She is also survived by a nephew Henry E. Selby and his wife Frances, and nephew Charles “Chuck” Clark, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2007 at the Ruebel Funeral Home Chapel with Louis Sharp and Nick Hamilton officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
