Biography: Robert Brandon Holitik, 50, died Monday, May 28, at his home in Little Rock. He leaves behind his life's love, Megan E. Wooster, his daughter, Katherine Anne Holitik, and his son, Robert Brandon Holitik, JR. He is survived by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. George F. Holitik, and Mrs. Cornelia Brandon Ellingson, of Little Rock, siblings, Christopher W. Holitik of Fayetteville, Kay Holitik Maris and Melissa Holitik Plato of Little Rock, and W. Andrew Holitik of Chicago, as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Little Rock, Mr. Holitik attended Marion Military Academy, and was a graduate of Little Rock Central High. His love for the Natural State drew him to the University of Arkansas, where he received his bachelors degree in communications, and a law degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law. His solid beliefs in the legal system and his desire to help those in need led him to multiple fields as a general practitioner. His affinity for family law, and class action lawsuits evolved into a partnership with the firm of Hale, Holitik, and Young in Marion, Arkansas. A devoted friend, and loving father, Robert found joy in exploring the beauty of nature, which he shared with and passed on to his children. Conservation of the wetlands, Ducks Unlimited, and animal rescue were just a few of the many causes he embraced and supported. His positivity and kindness will be remembered and missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Robert?s life will be held at Ruebel Funeral Home on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to The Robert Holitik Memorial Education Fund at Bank of Little Rock, 200 N. State St., Little Rock, AR 72201.

The first time that I met Robert, he was with the Little Rock City Attorney?s Office and I was a deputy public defender. We tried a DWI case before Judge Vic Snyder and my father (a circuit judge) was in attendance. I heard my dad whisper in a low voice that my client was guilty but I didn?t let up and my client was granted a sentence in an alcohol treatment facility. The next time that I saw Robert was when I joined Hale & Holitik in 2003. Robert kissed me about our first meeting but he was a wonderful partner, mentor and friend. If I had a dime for every time that he called me with ?Partlow, how?s it going?,? I?d be a millionaire. Robert was one of the first people to call and console me when my father died. I loved Robert and I?ll never forget our good times and practice together.

I am beyond heartbroken and saddened by this loss. He has meant so much to me and my family over the last 40+ years but even more so the last 2 years. He was generous with his time and support and caring for us when we needed it the most. I pray for his children and all of those who loved him so.
