Jo Anne was a talented colleague, an adventurous travel companion, and a dear friend. I will miss our sharing a carafe of wine and getting into a lively conversation, ranging from politics and books to football (about which I know nothing) and just plain nonsense (one of my strong suits). Good night dear friend. I will never forget the good times we had. Thank you for the memories.

I would like to express my heartfelt sympathy to the family for the loss of your dear Jo Anne. I hope that you will find comfort in the words of Jesus at John 5:28,29 where he promised that the day is coming when he is going to resurrect back to life those in the grave. Until then, it is just like they are sleeping. (John 11:11-13) May your family draw strength from Jehovah, the God of all Comfort.

Jo and I were best friends from 7th to 10th grade, at which time I moved away. She was at my house or I was at hers. We reconnected in 2000 when we both retired and she joined my book club until she moved to Little Rock. My life has been greatly enriched by having her in my life. I will never forget her as one of my dearest friends.

Jo Anne will be sorely missed at the Burford reunions, she did such a wonderful job of organizing and keeping us informed of all the family news. Such a sweet person, a dear cousin, and I always looked forward to visiting with her and her children. May God Bless! Just another great cousin that we have lost!
