Biography: Mary Alyce Branch Brown, 90, of Little Rock, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018, in Springdale, Arkansas from complications from pneumonia. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on October 7, 1927 to the late Elma Mary Mead Branch and William Matthew Branch. Mary Alyce graduated from Little Rock High School and attended Sullins College in Bristol, VA. She married William Douglas ?Bill? Brown on October 22, 1949. Bill passed away in 2011 due to complications from Parkinson?s disease. They were married for 61 years. Mary Alyce was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family. She had a very strong faith and raised her family with a Christian foundation. She was a member of Paschal Heights Garden Club. She is survived by her children William Douglas Brown, Jr. and wife Michelle of Mount Pleasant, Texas; Janet Mefford and husband Donnie of Russellville, Arkansas; Mary B. Pierson and husband Allen of Little Rock, Arkansas; Sarah McKay and husband Allen of Rogers, Arkansas; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 7 nieces and 3 nephews. She also leaves behind a sister, Marjorie Asbury of Lake Forest, IL. A graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park at 2:30 pm on Friday, April 27, 2018. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Arkansas Children?s Hospital or Circle of Life Hospice, Springdale, AR. The family would like to thank The Meadows Assisted Living in Bentonville, AR for their loving care of Mary Alyce. A gathering with the family to celebrate her life will be held at the home of Mary and Allen Pierson, 34 Mirabel Ct., Little Rock, AR after the service.

My mother, Jane and I are so sorry to know of Mary Alyce's passing. She was a beautiful lady and so kind to our family. My parents loved spending time with your mother and father. Lifelong friends. Wishing you peace and holding you close in prayer.

Doug,Janet,Mary Ann and Sarah,So sorry.Mary Alyce was one of the most gentle and kindest ladies I have ever known.I know she was a wonderful mother and you were very devoted children.She was a very loving aunt to us when we were growing up.Mary Alyce was a beautiful lady inside and out

We would like to offer you and your family our deepest and most sincere condolences. Mary Alyce was a very distinguished woman. She had a beautiful soul full of love and faith. She loved to visit with her family and always welcomed you with open arms. If you were sick or suffering Mary Alyce always called to check on you and to provide you with comfort and encouraging words. Our prayers and so many memories are what we will carry in our hearts. May God give Mary Alyce eternal rest and the family the strength to bear this great loss.
