My heart goes out to my dear friend,Miss Patty, who became my best friend when we were 17 year old freshmen and then Kappa Kappa Gamma Sisters at the University of Arkansas. We continued to be couple friends watching "New York" Mike begin his bond selling career, driving over the State in his
red convertible selling bonds to unsuspecting farmers that would soon reap benefits from Mike's good advice. I am proud to say that Mike Smith was my friend for 67 years (reluctantly when we were paired for Riverdale Dances at 13) and a loyal and true friend thereafter. I will miss him
for a long, long time and be consoled by the fact that the tears on our faces today will someday turn to smiles for the memories that he gave us.
