Biography: Strength, loyalty, and jubilation are all words that describe our loving and amazing wife, mother, grandmother, relative, and friend. Margaret Harrison, 74, of Little Rock ascended into heaven on March 1, 2018, after a long battle with cancer. She was received by many whom have gone before her. She watches over us while reminding us to celebrate each moment of every day in the joyous way that she did. Margaret Carolyn Armstrong was born in Newport, Arkansas, on December 15, 1943, to Margaret and Tom Armstrong while her father, an artillery officer, was deployed in Italy. She graduated from the University of Arkansas, where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha. She married Bill Harrison while attending the University. She was an active member of St. James United Methodist Church, where she cherished the Music Ministry. She was a member of the Vine and Branches Bible Study at St. James and Chapter I of PEO. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, one brother Tom Armstrong II of Ball Point, Georgia, daughters Kathy Sockwell of Dallas and husband Spencer, Angela Kuli of Little Rock and husband Kirk, Holly Cooper of Memphis and husband Ken, and a son, Drew Harrison of Little Rock and wife Julia. She was blessed with eight grandchildren; Elizabeth and Camille Sockwell, Katherine and Charlotte Kuli, Casey and Mary Margaret Cooper, Kate and Will Harrison. She is also survived by a treasured aunt, Carolyn Deal, of Monroe, Louisiana, a host of cousins and many friends. Margaret and Bill lived in Shreveport, Louisiana, for 17 years where they made many lifelong and dear friends. The family returned to Little Rock in 1983. She was a patriot, an enthusiastic Razorback fan, and was never happier than when she was surrounded by her family on Lake Ouachita. She loved to share her Southern hospitality with her many loved ones. Family visitation will be at Ruebel Funeral Home on Thursday, March 8, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. James United Methodist Church on Friday, March 9, at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Music Ministry at St. James United Methodist Church, 321 Pleasant Valley Drive, Little Rock, AR 72212.

I was so sad to hear about Margaret. She was always one of my favorite moms. In fact, she was one of the best things about being a young person growing up at St. James. I adored her and will never forget her laugh. I will be thinking of the entire family, and much love to Holly and Drew. Amy

We are so sad to lose our great friend Margaret. She was smart, funny and so strong as she courageously battled these last few years. We had absolutely fantastic times when we traveled with our ?six-pack? friends. Margaret will live in all of us who knew her and her smile and sense of humor is unforgettable. To Bill, children and grandchildren you are in our prayers that God will comfort and bless you. We love you all, Sam and Dianne
