Biography: Arthur Karlin, 78, died January 25, 2018 after a short illness, with his wife at his bedside. He was preceded in death by his parents and two cousins. He leaves his wife in Pine Bluff, AR, a sister in West Palm Beach, and cousins in California, Virginia, Georgia, New York and Boca Raton behind. All his life he was an educator imparting his knowledge unstintingly to his students. He taught accounting and taxation at UAPB in Pine Bluff, AR for almost 21 years. His BA was from NYU, PhD from the University of Illinois, law degree from University of Akron, and advanced law degree from NYU again. Ruebel Funeral Home will arrange the transfer of his body from Little Rock to DeVol Funeral Home in Washington D.C. where he will be buried in Rock Creek Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Vincent?s Neurological Unit in Little Rock, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home, www.ruebelfuneralhome.com

So sorry for your loss may you find peace and comfort in the words spoken at 2 Corinthians 1:3 & 4" ( 3) Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, (4 ) who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God

Arthur was a wonderful man and great cousin. Despite his great intelligence and educational background, he was always down to earth, and so kind to my wife and me on the occasions we saw him and his terrific wife. We always learned something interesting when we saw him. We will miss him very much.
