Biography: John C (Chaddy) Schratz was born in DeValls Bluff, AR on July 17, 1931 and departed his beloved family and friends on December 23, 2017. His parents were the late Bruce Chandler Schratz and Elva Jane Sparks Schratz. John was raised in DeValls Bluff, graduated from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. He served in the Army Reserves and was on active duty for two years during the Korean War. In a letter to his wife of 46 years, Kaye, and to his children, John wrote the following: ?It?s a wonderful life! Mine Wonderful Mother-Dad: Bruce C and Elva Schratz Wonderful Wife: Kaye, a copy of my mother ?Mimi? Wonderful Kids: Debbie (Schratz Schoenberger), John Keith (Schratz), Lisa (Schratz Hull) and David C (Schratz) Wonderful Grand-Kids: David H (Schratz) Stephen (Ruegg), Elise, Mariel, Caroline, Christina (Hull) and Laura (Schratz) Wonderful Brother: Bruce E Sr (Bubba Schratz) Wonderful Nieces & Nephews & In-laws Wonderful life I have had being with all of ya?ll over the years I hope ya?ll watch over Kaye & each other..Enjoy Life!! I hope Y?ll have happy lives & you will pray for me and have good memories of the good times we had together & all Have happy times as I did w/ya?ll Hope we will be together way down the road!! Remember Jesus & God Love all of ya?ll? John (Chaddy) Schratz? John spent 53 years in the pharmaceutical industry as a medical sales representative for Proctor & Gamble, Merz, and ultimately, in his so called ?retirement? with US Compounding. Often referred to as ?The Godfather of Pharmaceutical Sales? and ?The Legend?, he won multiple national sales awards. However, the highlight of his career is the John C Schratz Dedication Award given annually and established to honor his selfless dedication and invaluable impact on the growth and success of US Compounding. He loved what he did and was great at it. John?s love of music and travel was passed down to his children and grandchildren. His love of music developed early on, listening to his father, Bruce, play boogie woogie, ragtime, blues and jazz on the piano. Due to his heritage, he had a keen interest in German culture and enjoyed his trips abroad nearly as much as the coast-to-coast family camping trips. John was a jokester. Never tiring from his one-liners, he simply refused to let the fact that he had told you a joke before prevent him from telling it a third or fourth time. Rosary service for John C Schratz will be held Thursday, December 28, at 7:00 pm at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4000 N Rodney Parham Rd, Little Rock. Funeral Mass will be at Christ the King Catholic Church on Friday, December 29, at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in John?s name be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Crohn?s & Colitis Foundation or a charity of choice. The family would like to thank Steven W Hutchins, MD, Angela K Nutt, MD and their staffs for the dedicated care you gave to John.

Thoughts and prayers to the Schratz Family. I knew John from when I worked at NLR Family Practice Clinic with his brother, Dr. Bruce Schratz and I went to school with his daughter, Lisa. John was always very kind. Could always crack a joke to make a bad day better.
