Biography: Julia Katharine “JuJu” Bond Ledbetter of Little Rock, age 90 years, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007. She was born in Little Rock on March 13, 1917. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alice Plunkett Bond and John Barnitz Bond, husband Joel Yowell Ledbetter, Sr., daughter Virginia Ledbetter Adkisson, sisters Lila Bond Hornor and Josephine Bond Temple, and brother Richard Thompson Bond. She was a graduate of Little Rock High School where she was president of her sorority, Delta Alpha Delta, and she attended Hollins College in Roanoke, Virginia and Kingsmith College in Washington, D.C. She was a member of First Church Christ Scientist, the Country Club of Little Rock, former vice president of the Junior League of Little Rock, Arkansas Arts Center, and former director of the Bank of Arkansas. She was an avid golfer and bridge player. The family wishes to thank the staff of Arkansas Hospice and caregivers Della Frazier, Amber Paxon and Rosie Henderson. She is survived by daughter Julie Fulgham of Little Rock, and son Joel Ledbetter, Jr., and wife Patti of Little Rock, granddaughters: Sheb Fisher and husband Danny, Sterling Fikes and husband Rob, Kelle Mills, Talbot Cooley and husband Matthew of Houston, Texas, Shay Ledbetter, Helen Castleman and husband Rives of Dallas, Texas, Mitzi Tiffee and husband Robby, Anne Gill and husband Ryan, and 10 great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation from 3 to 5 p.m., Thursday, April 12th, at the Ruebel Funeral Home.
