Biography: Cassandra Gentry Pierson, 90, of Little Rock passed away Friday, November 17, 2017. She was born April 13, 1927 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Dahlia Davidson Poe and Ethen Poe. She is also preceded in death by her only child, Margaret Sandoval; sister, Louise Poe Watson and brother, Howell Poe. Cassandra retired from Alltel as a longtime assistant to Jim Gadberry and was known to be very business-like. She was a longtime and much loved Deacon as well as a librarian at Pulaski Heights Baptist Church. She was a strong Christian and loved her church. She is survived by her son-in-law, Stephen Sandoval of Fairfax, Virginia; cousin, friend and caregiver, Mary Davidson; caregiver and friend, Marie Russell as well as many friends. A graveside service will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Dr. Randy Hyde.
