Biography: Ruth C. Locklar, of Little Rock passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017. She was born December 20, 1920 in Little Rock to the late Raymond Andrew and Mary Clow Smith. She is preceded in death by her husband, James T. Locklar. Ruth was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Little Rock and a resident of Barrow Creek Health and Rehabilitation. She is survived by 8 nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Barrow Creek Health and Rehabilitation and Kindred Hospice for their care of Ruth. A graveside service will be held at Little Rock National Cemetery on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements by Ruebel Funeral Home, www.ruebelfuneralhome.com.

Ms. Ruth was a Sunday school teacher to both our children, and we will miss seeing her in church as she was there every Sunday. She was a kind, sweet, gentle, and faithful person that always had a sparkle in her eye. I am grateful to have known her.
