Biography: James “Jim” Norton McCall, age 81, of Little Rock died March 30, 2007. He was born on January 1, 1926 in Little Rock to the late Earnest and Nelle Egan McCall. He graduated from The University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where he was a proud member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. He retired from Entergy Corp. where he worked as a business manger for many years .Jim was a member of St. James United Methodist Church where he attended the Forum Sunday School Class. He was also a member of the West Little Rock Lion’s Club. He is survived by his wife, Connie McCall; his children, Cindy Talbert McCall and her husband Bill of Coral Gables, Florida; Jay McCall and his wife Rena of Conway, Arkansas; Carolyn Squires and her husband David of Austin, Texas; Nadine Grice of Little Rock and Darlene Smith and her husband Bruce of Little Rock. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Adam McCall, Lindsey McCall, Sammy Squires, Nathan Grice, Wendy Potter, Justin Smith and Ryan Smith. His cousins Lynn and Bill Albright of Pine Bluff also survive him. Visitation for Jim will be held from 6 – 7 PM on Monday evening at Ruebel Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 on Tuesday in the Chapel of Ruebel Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Haustein officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. The family would like give special thanks to the nurses and staff of the critical care unit at Baptist Hospital as well as all the support staff at the hospital.
