Ben I'm so sorry for your loss. You remind me of a younger Rudy. I worked in the Wallace building where he worked in the early 70's. I will never forget when he used to come to Oak Grove School to see your Mom. I had such a crush on him for a young girl. My sincere sympathy and may God give you and the family peace and comfort.

I was Rudy's secretary at PECD and every time he would see me he would say
"GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE!"
He was such a funny man and I loved listening to stories about his family. I'm blessed to be able to say he was my friend/work dad. My deepest condolences to his family. And to Rudy, good night sunshine, till we meet again...

Rudy was one of the nicest persons I ever met - when he learned I had an accident that caused me long term injury, he would check on me, even though he had greater health concerns. He was one of the most considerate persons I ever knew, and I will miss him. My sincere condolences to the Bischof family, may God bless and comfort you.

Rudy was always a helpful person to work with and never got tired of my asking him questions. I learned a lot about the claims process by visiting with him. He was also entertaining to be around. I will miss him.

Hate to see Rudi dying. He and I were at college together and roommates briefly. I introduced him and Sherry. I saw him several years ago, and meant to ask him here, but never did, which I regret.

Rudy and I ran some organized footraces back in the 1980s. They were always fun. We were about the same age and pace. He is also my fellow musician so we have a double brotherhood. I had not seen him in a while but still consider him my friend. There are probably more swing musicians with him now than we still have here on earth!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you mourn the loss of a father, grandfather, husband, and friend. While I never had the opportunity to meet Rudy, I heard many wonderful and encouraging stories from Bill. Rudy must have been a great man with a commitment to the well-being of others, as these same characteristics are evidenced in Bill's commitment to those he serves. We have a promise of a reunion in heaven - an unbreakable promise that gives strength in times of weakness. As you face the days ahead, please find peace and solace in Paul's words in 2 Corinthians 12:9: "And He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.' Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me." Yes, there are painful days ahead, but Christ's power is perfected in that pain. You have a promise for a family reunion one day. It's not goodbye, but instead an "until then."

Dear Family & Friends,

Rudy and I became acquainted through the late-Bill Blevins. This combo assured each of having a marvelous time when we crossed paths. We often met up at the annual Workers Compensation Conference and shared stories. Rudy was a professional in every respect. Surely Heaven's Pearly Gates have opened wide -- and he and Bill are are plopped down on a puff-of-cloud telling yarns and laughing. What a wonderful thought.

I am sure his family will miss him greatly and so will his friends. My condolences...

Our condolences for your loss. Rudy was a walking buddy at War Memorial Fitness Center track. He was the kindest, most positive person and made the drudgery of walking a couple of miles fly by. He never met a stranger and stopped to talk to me and my husband any time and anywhere he saw us. I teased him about "being a Marine" and asked him if it was true -- Once a Marine always a Marine?" He smiled, his eyes sparkled and he said "Semper Fi!" We will miss him.
