Biography: Reginald ?Reggie? D. Marshall, 58, died November 30, 2016. He was born on December 4, 1957 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to the late Darrell and Fern Sutton Marshall. He was preceded in death by his sister, Tammy and his dear friend, George Posan. He leaves behind his sister, Rhonda Compton, of Sheridan, Arkansas, his business partner, Jim Clements of Little Rock, Arkansas along with his two faithful miniature German Schnauzers, Boo and Maxi Jones. Reggie was baptized in the Saline River at Jenkins Ferry and later joined the First United Methodist Church of Sheridan. Reggie graduated from Sheridan High School then attended the University of Arkansas where he studied art. In his early years, he worked at his parent?s store, South Park Furniture, where he honed his design skills on in-store decorations and independent interior design jobs. Reggie?s varied interests included gardening, antiquing, and traveling. In 1981, he and Jim Clements founded Marshall Clements Interiors & Antiques. The two began importing antiques from all over the world. The passion and interest grew and continued over the next 35 years. Reggie?s legacy as a brilliant designer with a one of a kind eye for treasures will continue after his death. Standing 6?6, Reggie?s joie de vivre and personality were as imposing as his stature. He always had time for his friends; to listen to a problem, advise on a project, or just to share his infectious laughter. He loved working with young designers. Many that he mentored during his lifetime now have established businesses of their own. Reg was a ?go-to? kind of guy for everyone who knew him. His body of work and his many friends will long be a testament to what a kind and truly uniquely talented person he was. Visitation will be at Ruebel Funeral Home, 6313 W. Markham St, Little Rock on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by a celebration of Reggie?s life at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to MMAR Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 398, Fordyce, AR 71742 (870-352-0211). Arrangements by Ruebel Funeral Home, www.ruebelfuneralhome.com.

Reggie was my favorite cousin, in fact, I think he was everyone's favorite cousin. Growing up I used to love to go over to his house. We might take a swim, and then take a ride in his 240 Z, 260 Z, 280 Z (etc.) down Woodson Lateral before we drove to Little Rock through East End. I will treasure the memories of our hours and hours of laughter, our family trips to Florida, and our epic adventures from Sheridan to Farindale and on to Carthage. Reggie, you will be greatly missed by us all.

Reggie was one of a kind in professionalism, personality and talent. He had an infectious smile and always chose to wear it. But the stories he told of the furniture he sold was my favorite. He not only knew the history of a piece he became the heart and soul of it and literally brought it to life. True, he could have made it all up too, but what I loved was his passion for the most insignificant piece of simple furniture, or the least important corner of a room. He cared for it all. This talent he shared with us will be lost, but he will be truly missed. We loved you Reggie! Mike and Janet Huckabee

I know Reggie from working two doors down from Marshall Clements (Cynthia East Fabrics) for 10 years. He was one of my favorite customers. All of us girls would run to help him. Not only because he was unfailingly polite and kind, but also because he was always working on something beautiful. I used to love to see the centuries old European tapestries he would bring in to make pillows and ottomans out of. He was so creative. I loved him and I will miss him. My prayers are with Jim and his family.

My thoughts and prayers are with Reggie?s family . Many people have so many fond memories of Reggie and we all look forward to the promise at Revelation 21:4 ? ?God will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.? When this promised is fulfilled, we will enjoy life the way our Grand Creator purposed for us?forever. (Psalms 37:11, 29)
