Biography: John Coy Nixon, Sr, 65, April 30, 1951 - November 7, 2016, son of Coy Madison Nixon, Jr, and the late Agnes Coffman Nixon of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, went to rest peacefully, Monday, November, 7. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Jan McBrayer Nixon; Daughter- Sarah Fallon (Jonathan); son- John Coy Nixon, Jr, (Stephanie), Marcus Andrew Nixon (Margery Aaron) and his grandchildren Emily, Haley, Harrison, Holly, Coy, Beau and Madison as well as his four-legged son Eddie. John graduated from Pine Bluff High School and the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. During his time there. He met and married his wife of 44 years. They returned to Pine Bluff to run Nixon?s Rental Center where he served as President. He served as president of Mid-South Rental Association, Pine Bluff Lions Club and was active in Rotary. He worked as a member of public relations for JRMC and headed their United Way. In Little Rock he was pleased to be a part of ACH in research for ATV safety. John enjoyed his large Nixon family who meant the world to him, and prided himself on his friends from all walks of life. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Easter Seals Disability Services, as well as St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. A visitation will be held at 2:30pm on Thursday, November 10th at St. James United Methodist Church, followed by a memorial service at 3:30pm.
