Biography: Emily Ann Head, beloved daughter of Carl Dexter Head (Barbara) and Barbara Perez Head passed away on November 7, 2016 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born February 7, 1980 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was baptized at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Little Rock as an infant by The Reverend Tom Prichard. She attended the Cathedral School through grade 6, went on to Horace Mann Junior High and then Parkview High School. After school she was a loyal employee of Subway of Benton, Arkansas for 11 years after which she moved to North Little Rock where she worked for Schlotzsky?s sandwiches and Kroger. She was always a hard working girl, loved and respected by her employers and fellow employees. She will be dearly missed by her longtime companion, Anthony Ward ?Ant?. She will also be remembered and missed by her surviving grandparents, Manuel and Polly Perez of Russellville, Arkansas and Carl W. Head of Traskwood, Arkansas, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. She was predeceased by her brother Aaron Head and grandmother Aline Head. Emily was blessed with a wonderful personality and a calm and equitable nature, which never wavered, even in the time of her greatest distress. We were honored to be her parents and grateful for all the prayers and contributions of her many well-wishers. Her funeral will be Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 12 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral followed by burial at Forest Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home.

Barbara:

I am sure this is a very difficult time for you and your family, but I know you will find comfort in the Word of God.

Emily is smiling now just like she is in the picture you have shared with us...because her spirit is resting in the arms of our Savior. (II Corinthians 5:8)

Dear Barbara and Carl, I am so sorry to hear the news of your loss of Emily. Because we lost track of one another, the glimpse of Emily that sticks in my mind is of the enormous joy she brought you as a baby. From her beautiful smile in the picture above, and the loving description in what you have written, it sounds like that joy stretched over her lifetime. It is terrible that having lost Aaron, you have now lost Emily as well. May God flood your life with light, peace and blessings, and most of all, with the sure and certain hope that in Christ, you will one day be united in a life where every tear is wiped away, and were sorrow and sighing are no more. With condolences, much love, and expectant hope through Christ, Tom

I would like to extend my condolences to Emily's dear family. Even though I hadn't had the opportunity to know Emily, I do know the pain of losing a loved one to death. May these promises from the Bible comfort you, as they have me. Jehovah God is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit. And he will wipe away the tears from all faces. Psalms 34:18; Isaiah 25:8 NWT. Peace be with you.
