Biography: Juanita Elizabeth “Beth” Clark Bowie, age 55, of Little Rock, died Friday, February 23, 2007. She was born November 17, 1951 in San Angelo, Texas. She graduated Hall High School and later attended William Woods and UALR where she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, and the North Little Rock Junior League. She was a substitute teacher at Joe T. Robinson Schools and was the Activities Director at Presbyterian Village. She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Sunday Clark; her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Lawson Williams and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew L. Clark; mother-in-law, Helen M. Bowie; brother-in-law, Murray K. Bowie. Survivors include her husband, Michael Bowie; her mother, Juanita “Nita” (Williams) Clark of Little Rock; children, William Mawhinney, Clark Mawhinney and wife Lucy of Plantation, Florida; a grandson, Jake Mawhinney; brother, Andrew Clark and wife Mindy; sister, Pamela Banks; nieces, Lany Ricketts and husband Jason, Elizabeth Clark; nephews, Andrew Clark, Jr. and wife Sarah, Billy Sunday Banks; great-nephew, Noah Clark. She is also survived by her father-in-law Luther L. Bowie. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Ruebel Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at Pinecrest Memorial Park officiated by Rev. John Fleming. The family would like to sincerely thank the ICU nursing staff at St. Vincent’s Infirmary Medical Center, and Dr. Sue Ulmer.
