Biography: Hilda Hicks Adams, age 79 of Little Rock, Ark. died Friday, Feb. 23, 2007. She was born Feb. 25, 1927 in Epps, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Eugene Harris Adams, her parents John Thomas Hicks, Jr. & Beatrice Hilman Hicks, and her brother John Thomas Hicks III. She is survived by seven nieces and five nephews. Hilda graduated from Centenary College with a BS in Biology. She then received her Medical Technology degree from the Shreveport Charity Hospital School of Medical Technology. Hilda came to Arkansas with her husband to run the family farm in Hensley. She was Chief Medical Technologist and Clinical Instructor at St. Vincent’s Infirmary for 11 years. Hilda was a leader in the Hensley and Redfield communities and hosted many social functions. Hilda pursued many different interests from bird watching to history. She was an enthusiastic traveler visiting 16 countries. She also spent countless hours researching and documenting local and family history. She was a member or Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, The Pine Bluff Daughters of The American Revolution, and Theta Upsilon Sorority. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 25, 2007 at Campbell Cemetery in Hensley.
