Biography: Mary-Britton Norton, 29, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away unexpectedly on April 6, 2016. ?Boogie,? as she was affectionately known to family and friends, was born in Little Rock on October 2, 1986 to Gretchen Gray (Tim Daters) and N.M Norton (Susan Campbell). She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles Henry Gray, Beverly Beeson Stocker, Nathan M. Norton, Sr., and Jessamine T. Norton, as well as by her doting uncle, Hank Gray, and her cousin, Shelton Yocum. Mary-Britton leaves behind her loving parents; devoted sisters, Gray Elizabeth Norton of Lebanon, New Hampshire, and Elise Riedel of Hobart, Tasmania; step-siblings, Andrew (Callie), Adam (Valerie), and Elizabeth Daters, John (Tiffany) and Shannon Cromwell; grandparent Bequita Gray; aunts Anne (Dick) James, and Lisa Yocum; cousins Hank (Katherine), and Chad Gray, Andrew (Chesha), and William (Sarah) James, and Laura Yocum; and her fianc?, Roddy Crawford. She is also cherished by the numerous extended family members who share her spirit. Mary-Britton graduated from Little Rock Central High School and studied media communications at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She devoted much of her vibrant life to caring for those who called to her, particularly the developmentally disabled and the chronically ill. She worked tirelessly at the ARC and Lifestyles of Arkansas. Most recently she found joy working as a private caregiver. She made lifelong friendships with the people for whom she provided care. She will be remembered for her kindness, her exuberance, and her devotion to her many friends and acquaintances. She was a special person, the sort who is loved by all. Her compassion for others was matched only by her zest and vivaciousness. As her nickname implies, Boogie danced into the lives of many people. Her intelligence and wit belied her years. She was nothing short of fabulous. She kept everyone on their toes and loved each and every along the way. We are all lucky to have known her, and we will miss her dearly. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2016, 11:00am, at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Reverend Lynn Lindsey and Reverend Vic Nixon. A reception of joy will follow the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church Caring Ministries, ARC of Arkansas, CARE for Animals, or your chosen charity. Arrangements are under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home, www.ruebelfuneralhome.com Mary-Britton will never be forgotten by the many people that she touched with her gentle soul and her kind, compassionate, and caring manner. She was truly amazing; ask anyone. She was a genuine Tupelo Honey, ?an angel of the first degree?. ?And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!? -Shakespeare ?This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you? -JOHN 15:12

MB...We played a husband and wife in our 24 hour movie. You once took over my movie, because your way was better. You were very smart and full of charisma. Your bestie Mona always had to show or explain to me your point of view. Being full of pride and being stubborn wasn't my best trait, but you looked past that and helped me.

I didn't expect you to leave so soon. You truly were one in a million. Even though we ran with different crowds, I never forgot the name Mary-Britton and I never will.

I know you will be missed more by the ones that loved you and by those that called you as a best friend. I will simply miss you. Thank you for some of the best memories I have ever had.

Thank you MB

I was so sorry to hear of Mary-Britton's passing. Thinking of her brought back all sorts of memories of babysitting her when she was just a little girl. Those three sisters were a handful but so much fun to spend time with. Your family is in my thoughts. Thanks for allowing to spend time with her, Gray, and Elise.

To all the family,
We had the pleasure of spending time with Mary Britton when she and Leslie came to the crazy Turner Reunion in Amelia Island, 2012. I will forever cherish the memory of her on that trip - sitting on the beach with the clan, telling stories, laughing and getting to know each other. Jay and I (and Zach & Jordan) send our thoughts, love, hugs & prayers to all of you. Mac, Susan and Lisa - We will see you again soon. Stay strong!

As Vicky's Supported Living Coordinator at Life Styles in Fayetteville, I am saddened of Mary-Britton's death. She touched my life briefly and set a shining example of love for the people we serve. When I told Vicky the devastating news, the reaction of pure grief and sadness confirmed that Mary-Britton was considered a life long friend. How grateful we are that Mary-Britton continued her relationship with Vicky years after leaving Life Styles, including bowling on Christmas Eve. Life Styles will always consider Mary-Britton as a treasure and even though she hasn't worked here for years, she will be missed greatly for years to come.

I send my prayers and love to the family and friends of Mary-Britton Norton during this very difficult time. She will be very missed because I know she was so special and loved by so many. I only met Mary-Britton a couple of times when I placed Sherlocksalot in her hands. He certainly was a lucky dog to have such a loving, special owner. Mary-Britton and I had a laugh when I accidentally gave her a girl when she asked for a boy. She said to me jokingly I really don't think this is a boy. I couldn't believe I made such a mix-up. It was funny to both of us and that is how Sherlocksalot came about. Mary-Britton then chose Sherlocksalot to be her new family member. I feel privileged to have met Mary-Britton.

I can hear your one liners in that energetic, and jovial voice that was infectious."It's all good!" I know you are dancing in heaven with the angels and hollerin' at family and friends that were waiting on you above. We are all deeply saddened by you leaving. God wanted you sooner then we were ready for, so please watch over us. So many memories Boogs. So many laughs. Until we meet again.

Mac, Gretchen, Gray, Elise, and all whose lives were touched by Boogie, I hurt and hurt for you over this tragic and untimely loss. Boogie is everything you have said in your touching obituary. May time relieve your grief and replace it with the warm and wonderful memories we always will have. Love, blessings, and prayers - Charlie, or as Boogie called me when she was a tyke, "Charry."

I remember dropping my son off the first day of kindergarten and wasn't too happy leaving him but then I met you and you were full of smiles. You gravatated immediately towards Joseph and remained with him the entire school year! I wanted to keep you (mom said no, :)) You and Joseph remained life long friends and through that you and I remained friends as well and I will treasure that as long as I live. You turned into a most gracious young lady and so thankful I was able to give you a big hug recently. You truly have a special gift and that we all will miss dearly. Rest in peace dear child.
