Biography: Joseph A. Roberto, age 68, of Little Rock passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 27, 1948 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Antonio Joseph Roberto and Raffela L. Sasso Roberto. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lois Roberto, 2 daughters, Doreen Roberto Mattes (Phillip) and Kerrey Roberto, a sister Dolores Arena, 2 nephews, Marc Arena (Gabriella) and Charles Arena (Michelle) and a niece, Michele Metrick (Jason). Visitation will be Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Ruebel Funeral Home, 6313 W. Markham St. Little Rock from 6 to 8 p.m. A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to UAMS Lung Cancer Program, 4301 W. Markham St., Little Rock, AR 72205.

I never met Joseph Roberto, but I have worked with his daughter, Kerrey, for several years. A testament to a father's life is reflected in the character and accomplishment of his children. In the case of Joseph Roberto, his life was clearly full and successful.

Lois, Kerrey and Doreen,
The best memories I have of Joe are when I spent so many holiday dinners at your house. We always had such a good time, and I will always appreciate that time I got to spend with your family. I also loved the jalapeno jelly from Joe, Kerrey and Doreen's garden. And I enjoyed getting to see you all at my last visit. I will miss seeing Joe, and I am so sorry for your loss. I am thinking of you all constantly. I love you ladies.

We had some great times to remember, camping, Halloween party , golf off the deck by the pool.....

We love you guys and are so saddened by Joe's passing. It has been a struggle for all of you. We will never forget the many good times starting in South Bend and continuing over the years. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

You fought a hard battle and I am so proud of you. I know you are at peace. I will be grateful when I am at peace too.
I know you are among good company and I envision you are under beautiful blue skies, a fishing pole in hand, surrounded by deep majestic seas filled with plentiful game fish.
