Biography: David Wallace Dinsmore died March 24, 2016, in Little Rock. He was born August 16, 1918, in Clay Center, Kansas to Dr. Paul M. and Anah Dinsmore. He is survived by Mary Elizabeth, his wife of 69 years, by a daughter, Susan Goldner and her husband Charles, grandchildren Paul Goldner and Elizabeth Hubbard, and great-grandson Zachary Hubbard all of Little Rock. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Marian Milligan of Seattle. Wally Dinsmore was employed by Monsanto Chemical Co. in Nitro, West Virginia, then transferred to their facilities in St. Louis. He interrupted his employment as a chemist to train as a fighter pilot in the Naval Air Corps. After living in St. Louis for 54 years, he and his wife moved to Little Rock and resided in Parkway Village. He was a dedicated Presbyterian, serving as church elder for more than 50 years. He graduated from Tarkio College in Missouri and attended graduate school at the University of Nebraska. He loved sports and was admitted to the Helms Hall of Fame for high hurdles. He was an avid golfer into his 90's. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Second Presbyterian Church, Little Rock on Wednesday, March 30 at 2:00 pm.
