Biography: Ruth Bennish Johnson, 87, passed away on March 18, 2016. A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, she lived a glorious life full of family and friends. Married to her high school sweet heart for 62 years, he was by her side until her death. Ruth is predeceased by her parents Leroy and Effie Bennish, her brother, John Bennish; her sister, Mary Ellen Bennish; and her daughter Sherry Louise Johnson. She is survived by her husband Dr. T. Robert Johnson; her daughter Cindy Aitchison, and her grandson Brooks Aitchison. A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Second Presbyterian Church, 600 Pleasant Valley Drive, or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home, an online condolence book is available at www.ruebelfuneralhome.com

Our hearts are heavy and our grief is great as we have just learned of Ruth's passing. Her life was full and so well lived yet we know the past month's have been difficult for each of you. May the power of God's presence and the comfort that He gives bring peace to your hearts and minds that passes any of our ability to understand.
