Condolences to the Parse family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your whole family. Psalms 147:3 says God, "heals the broken hearted, and binds up their wounds." May God bring you comfort and peace.

Allan began writing to me while I was serving in Iraq in 2007 and 2008. It was an odd thing at first as I had never met him before. He and my parents were in the same Sunday School class and he had asked if it would be alright to contact me. It became a pleasure and joy to hear from him. His words of encouragement and support during some of the toughest days of my life were a God-send. He was truly one of the most genuine and honest men I'd ever met. His eyes said it all when he spoke to you. He meant every word he said and I knew it wasn't half-hearted. He treated me and my family so well, and I will always cherish the brief moments I spent with him. I will miss him dearly and I am saddened I didn't get to share more time with him.

Dear cousin my heart goes out to you at this difficult time. Allan truly fought the good fight. He was a great fellow. In all the years I knew him I don't think I can remember him ever "losing it". Your marriage was an example to be held up as a model. I hope knowing so many hold you in their thoughts and prayers will comfort you in all the days to come. Love you.

Aggie, I am shocked and saddened to hear of Alan's passing. He was a loving and a generous man and brightened every gathering he was in. You are in my wife Brenda's and my thoughts. I live and work in Conroe now and everytime I pass the exit to the school where you used to teach your memory is refreshed with. Mother isn't with us anymore, but I don't think that I am out of line to relay to you Bonny's and my memories of all the happy times Mother had with you, and what a blessing those memories were to her.

Aggie, This is sad news. And one of my greatest regrets is that many of us who knew each other in college lost touch, but we had so much fun back then that the memory of it has endured. I'm happy for all the good things that you and Alan shared, as are our other Phi Delt brothers, who have learned of Alan's passing and send their condolences, brightened by the memory of our good times together in those formative years. All best, Doug
