Biography: Jeffie ?Eris? Faulkner, 92, passed away January 8, 2016. She was born April 15, 1923, in Tupelo, MS. Her parents were Jeffie and William E. Walker. Her father died at an early age and the family carried on working hard on the farm and caring for each other. They survived the Tupelo tornado (in 1936) despite their home being destroyed. She married E. B. Faulkner and moved to Wynne, AR and raised two daughters. She was a lifelong Southern Baptist and they were members of Wynne Baptist and Union Baptist. They moved to Pine Bluff and continued to raise their family and were members of Immanuel Baptist Church. She was a full-time wife, mother, and grandmother and was always available to her family every time. Her constant devotion to her grandchildren caused everyone, even friends and neighbors, to refer to her as ?Memaw.? She loved her coffee, newspaper, crossword puzzles, reading books, and the AR Razorbacks. She had a sweet tooth and dessert was required with her meals. She loved her family, neighbors, and friends. Her love for her family was relentless. They were constantly in her thoughts and prayers. Her loving and comforting spirit will always be a place of refuge in our hearts. Thank you Memaw. She was preceded in death by 7 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by her 2 daughters: Sharon Pierce and Sylvia Faulkner. Other survivors include her sister Mabel W. Harper, 5 grandchildren: Cynthia, Jennifer, Andrea, Jud, Drew and 7 great grandchildren: Seth, Hunter, Morgan, Michael, Kelcey, Sylver, and Jackson. A graveside service will be held at Little Rock National Cemetery on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 12 pm. Online condolences may be made at www.ruebelfuneralhome.com

I am so sad to hear about this. Even though Memaw was not blood related to me, she has always been my Memaw too, and even though I had not seen her in years, I LOVED her dearly and thought about her all the time. I wish I could have been there for her and her family and I also know that I SHOULD have been around for them these last 15 years. I have missed her and I will miss her now even more and will think of her often. She was the best of the best, beautiful, sweet and kind, and I will keep her and her family close to my heart and in my prayers.
