Dixie,

My heartfelt prayers are going out to you and your family. The lost of love one so close is deep, it just hurts like heck.

I did not know your husband, and only knew you in passing. But the spirit that shown from you was always warm, sweet, and cheerful! You know some people you meet and live around you don't really know them but you do know them! That is how I feel about you!

I know that if you loved your husband the way you loved those around you then loosing him is great!

You know I lost my twin sister, Jeanette Sanders-Watkins in July and the feeling of missing her and longing for her is sometimes a great thing to bare. So I often turn my day, my life, and my mind over to the Creator and ask him to help me carry my load and help with acceptance of my lost.

Some days it is so great I have to close my office door and get down on my knees and pray. But I always get up, most time very wobbly, but I get up, and thank him for the 58 years I had with my Jeanette.

So if you feel like I do on so many days...then I suggest you find some thing, some one, or some way to turn it over to the Creator.

With all the love I have for a fellow Camdenite I say Peace to you and yours always!

I was so glad to reconnect with Andy several years ago via Facebook. We were very distant cousins (as we discovered through a family genealogy during our school days at Marion.) We planned to have coffee and "catch up." I'm so sorry we never did. Praying for you and your children-- God's strength and His peace. Go rest high, dear cuz. Your battle is over. Your race is won.

Dixie, John and Lizzie,
I am saddened for you at your loss.
We have lost many loved ones this year to
Cancer.. I hope they find a cure soon.
I know you will miss him dearly but as
Someone told me "let the sadness run
Through you when it comes, let it enter and
Leave like lightening when it hits a lightening
Rod; Andy is just continuing his journey
Of life everlasting ". Love to you all,
Gay

Dixie as you and your celebrate the life of Andy, please be minds that our Father allows us to grieve, but He adds an additional instruction.

I pray that you will be strength by His promise of His words: "13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words."
