Biography: Loretta V. “Rita” Huneycutt, age 77, of Little Rock, died Friday, January 26, 2007 at Baptist Medical Center. She was born in Roaring Springs, Texas on July 19, 1929 to the late Virgil and Virginia (McDorman) Lowrance. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Larry Glen Huneycutt. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Roy Glen Huneycutt; daughters, Debbie Byrd and her husband Bryan of Little Rock, Cheryl Anderson and her husband Marty of Fayetteville, and Jan Huneycutt Lightner of Bella Vista; grandchildren, Sam Byrd and his wife Alicia and their children Eli and Emily, Erin Oliver and her husband Shaun and their son Ethan, Rachel Byrd, Sara Huneycutt and her children Baxter and Gibson Bittle, SSgt Jesse Huneycutt, and Max Anderson. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Grace Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Gail Perkins and Rev. Dr. Karen K. Akin. The family will receive friends at the church after the service. Cremation arrangements are by Ruebel Funeral Home of Little Rock, www.ruebelfuneralhome.com.
