Biography: Alfred Thompson Kelley age 83, of Little Rock, died Wednesday, January 24, 2007. He was born in Axtell, Kansas on June 19, 1923 to the late Alfred T. and Lucille Norwood Kelley. Mr. Kelley was a graduate of Little Rock Senior High School; he went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the University of Arkansas. While attending college he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Mr. Kelley served in U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He also served as past president of Pulaski Heights Kiwanis Club and Little Rock Food Broker’s Association. Prior to his retirement he was a partner with his brother, Richard W. Kelley, in Kelley Brokerage Company in Little Rock. Mr. Kelley is survived by his wife Nancy Lou Bates Kelley, a brother Richard W. Kelley of Hot Springs, a brother-in-law William M. Bates of Tulsa, Oklahoma and nieces and nephews. Mr. Kelley was preceded in death by his son Craig Norwood Kelley. Visitation will be Friday, January 26, 2007, at Ruebel Funeral Home from 2 until 4 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Second Presbyterian Church with Reverend Stephen Hancock officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
