Biography: Lyndae Sain Allison was born Linda Lou Lynn on January 3rd, 1947 at Warner Brown Hospital in El Dorado, AR. Her parents were Thomas Edward ?Toppy? Lynn and Claudie Lou ?Betty Jo? Lynn. She attended the U of A at Fayetteville where she met her future husband, Tommy Sain, a Razorback football player. They were married in Brinkley, AR and had a daughter, Shelley Sain Seitz, in 1967. Lyndae saw life as an adventure; relishing each new turn and forming deep bonds with the kindred spirits she met along the way. She was fueled by a mix of serendipity, hard work and seizing the moment; both magical and practical she had a magnetic presence that attracted good fortune, interesting people, and so much laughter. Chance led Lyndae to her lifelong career in radio. She had been working a number of odd-jobs, including personal assistant to Tanya Tucker and assistant to Dr. Vale Harrison, but after divorcing in 1976 she needed a position that could meet the financial demands of being a single mother. Following a particularly discouraging job interview, she stopped by a friend?s sandwich shop to get some relief from the Arkansas summer heat. Her friend told her a nearby radio station was hiring salespeople. So with a lot of determination and a fair amount of what-the-hell, she walked into the station and was hired on the spot. KXXA Stereo Country 96, which later became KSSN, was an unknown station, but Lyndae parlayed that opportunity into a 40 year business that produced unparalleled sales achievements. She ended her career representing eight radio stations and three networks. Before retiring from Citadel in 2012, Lyndae received the company?s first ever National Account Executive of the Year award. She sold over a million dollars every year, even after going into partial retirement. This summer Lyndae was honored by the Arkansas Broadcasters Association ?in recognition and appreciation for her outstanding career in the radio industry and the example she set for us all?. She was proud of her achievements but eschewed the accolades and attention that came with them! After retirement Lyndae was free to rejoice in her wanderlust and she traveled extensively in the United States and around the world. On a vacation to Italy?s Amalfi Coast with her daughter she met one of those gypsy souls she loved so much and made an instant friend. Lyndae was delighted to be maid of honor in her wedding, which took place in Rovello, Italy. She also traveled to Fiji and Southern New Zealand. On this solo journey she navigated a rental car throughout the Southern Alps of NZ, took a helicopter from a rain forest to a glacier and bungeed from the world?s tallest bungee. She loved the bungee jump so much that she went again backwards! This past spring her daughter and son-in-law joined her for a trip to Paris and Barcelona for an exploration in food, wine, sightseeing, and shopping. She had a trip to Thailand planned in August, but opted to spend that time with friends and family. Lyndae is survived by her daughter and best friend, Shelley Sain Seitz, her son-in-law, Mike Seitz, her brother Gerald Edward ?Gerry? Lynn and his wife Vicki, 2 nieces, a nephew, and her much loved cat, Abigail. Lyndae formed lasting relationships with those who shared her daring spirit. It?s time for us to celebrate her latest journey. Lyndae?s Final Happy Hour will be at Ruebel Funeral Home from 3:3pm-5:30pm on 12/3/2015. There will be shots of tequila and a collection of her favorite sayings to take and enjoy. Lyndae had a special connection with children and animals. She loved them and they loved her. Babies would light up at the sight of her. As a strong advocate of animal rescue, she adopted many animals over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CARE for Animals, www.careforaninals.org or the charity of your choice. There is always something marvelous right around the corner; follow Lyndae?s lead and be ready to make the most of whatever comes your way. Arrangements are under the direction of Ruebel Funeral Home, www.ruebelfuneralhome.com

Shelley, your mother was one of a kind. Lyndae was a true inspiration. She inspired us to live and appreciate life and see this amazing world God has made. Fear? Not something Lynn displayed in her travels of the unknown. She always shared her excitement and joy. Our goal is to travel the world and experience new places, things and cultures like she did. I will remember her beautiful smile...ALWAYS.

Lindae and I worked together at KSSN radio in 1979 - she was a hard worker and loved her job. I remember a sign on her desk - I read it many times - "IF IT IS TO BE - IT IS UP TO ME" I will always have fond memories of those early days at KSSN radio...

Our prayers and thoughts are with you, Shelley. What a wonderful tribute to your mom the obituary published in the Arkansas Democrat Gazette! Obviously she was a neat lady. Although we may have never met her, we cherish your memories of her and are thinking of you. She certainly produced a neat daughter and of that, we know she was the proudest Mom.
With Love, Jan & Richard

Shelley --

Today, I opened the newspaper and was studying the pair of photos presented, as something about this woman looked familiar. Then I saw the name! I knew your darling, darling Mother during the period IN BETWEEN THESE PHOTOS. (Lyndae would be laughing at my writing this!) I was the KSSN-FM Continuity writer in the early 1980s. We became friends. What a dynamo she was - and quite beautiful and smart and fun to be around!

One day I told her about a painting I wanted in a Hillcrest antique shop. I described it, explaining I was sad as I had gone to buy it at lunch time and it was sold. Lyndae left my office and immediately returned - handing me the painting. She had purchased it that morning. I am still stunned at how this charmed experience happened! Your Mother would not let me pay for the artwork - it became 'A GIFT.' The art has been the wall next to my desk for over 30 years. This story is affixed to the backside of the painting. Now, sadly, I will add this special double photo clipping too.

How blessed you were to have had this lovely, delightful woman in your life to call: "MOTHER." My condolences...

Shelley,
Your Mom/best friend was inspirational, not only in her profession, but in the constant example she set for embracing life and making it into a five star ride.
The list of lives she touched is long. I join those who will miss her, but I hope you know she will not be among the forgotten. She touched too many hearts with her smile, humor, charm and goodness for that to happen. She is absolutely on my personal "most admired" list.
I know you have a variety of both simple and extraordinary memories with her.
Here is hoping those memories will be a source of inspiration and comfort in the years ahead.
