It's always hard to lose a loved one. Revalation 21:3,4 says "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: ?Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.?

John, my respects and sadness to Phyllis's passing. She was a special friend in medicine at the VA and was always so kind. Her faith was obvious. And you, my friend, at the research center many years ago - we had a lot of the goings on there.
I am out of town this weekend and would have come to visitation. God bless you in your grief. I will be praying for you and your family.
