I just wanted to send my condolences to the Parat family. As Steven's helper with their lawn I just wanted to send my thoughts and prayers. I remember seeing Dan on the front porch the first time a couple of summers ago, but I didn't have the opportunity to officially meet him due to declining health. God bless, Adam

God bless Dan and his family during this time of loss and mourning. We lost him here in our lives on this earth, but he is suffering no more. There is probably not enough room here to say all of the good things that I could say about him, but he was a good man. I can still remember the day when he was in the check out line at the Kroger store where I worked, and he informed me that he had just turned 70 years of age. I thought man, he sure looks good for his age. I couldn't believe it. He could of told me that the world was flat, and I would of believed him. Somehow or another it turns out that he needed someone to cut his lawn from time to time. I was doing yard work as a side job, so I felt like I'd be the perfect candidate. Being that it's hard to tell such a nice guy no, I decided to take on the job. Dan would sit on the front porch and watch me work. There was no blood, a lot of sweat, and no tears. Dan was not able to sweat himself. He was never a critic, and he praised me for a job well done. According to Anne it took someone special for Dan to allow another to do his lawn. Perhaps Anne was right.(patting myself on the back) Seriously though, there were times that my work schedule required me to bring my sweet daughter Avery over to Dan and Anne's house while I worked. Can you believe that they didn't even charge me baby sitter fees while I did their yard? Ha! They loved and entertained her as they would any one of their 7 grandchildren. I think at times they were entertained and charmed by her. Lastly, I must say that it has been a real joy to know and even work for the Parats. Daryl and Melissa are such wonderful people. I was able to interact with both of them growing up whether it was at the YMCA or the fact that my own mother taught one or both of them at Robinson.

God bless this family,

Steven Snow

Walter and I send our condolences to the family. We remember Dan from working with him at Teletype/AT&T. Dan always had a ready smile and a friendly personality, and we considered him a friend.
