Biography: Frederick Bolton Warner, age 99, of Little Rock, died Thursday, January 18, 2007. He was preceded in death by Esther, his wife of 74 years. He is survived by his son Fred B. Warner, Jr., of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and by two grandchildren, Kathleen Warner Coghlan of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Christopher Dyan Warner of Reno, Nevada. Fred was born in Eureka Springs, Arkansas March 5, 1907 and moved with his family to Little Rock in 1912. He was a salesman for Strauss Distributors for 40 years. His most remarkable attributes were his cheerfulness and willingness to be of service to family, friends, church, and community. Some of his many accomplishments were having an incredible memory of details about the social and historical events of his life, rescuing families by boat from the Cache River bottoms during the 1927 flood, tirelessly helping soldiers and their families as a manager of the Little Rock USO during World War II, serving on the vestry as both senior and junior warden during the 50 years as a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, and as an advocate of amateur athletics as an official for 45 years. Fred Warner effectively met his challenges without question and enjoyed life to the fullest. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 23, at 11:00 a.m. at Roselawn Memorial Park officiated by The Very Reverend Henry Hudson.
