Biography: Georgia Wycoff Luehr of Columbus, OH, and formerly Little Rock, AR, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 8, 2015 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer?s disease. Georgia was born July 13, 1926 in Coral Gables, FL. Her parents were Thelma Condell Wycoff and George E. Wycoff. They moved to Little Rock shortly after her birth. She graduated from Little Rock High School in 1943. Georgia was an active member in her church and in several charitable organizations, as well as in her women?s club. She was a devoted and loving mother of five children and was always involved in all their school, church, creative and sports activities. In 1968, while working for Field Enterprises - World Book Encyclopedia, she met her future husband, Paul Luehr. They married in August, 1969 and moved with her children to Wheaton, IL. In retirement, Georgia and Paul chose to locate near their children, first in Florida, then in Arkansas, and finally in Columbus, Ohio. Georgia was preceded in death by her daughter, Anne Shamburger Martin, her son, John F. Shamburger, her daughter, A. Kay Shamburger Alford and her parents. She is survived by her husband, Paul, of Columbus, OH, her daughter, Sally Stevens (Jim), of Little Rock, AR and Harbor Springs, MI, her son, Jeffrey W. Shamburger (Jim Brown), of Columbus, OH, her granddaughter, Melissa Martin Cook, of Franklin TN, her grandsons, Jeff Martin and Thomas Dale (Tad) Alford, III, both of Little Rock and three great-grandsons, Carson, Colby and Cooper Cook, of Franklin, TN. Georgia is also survived by her sister-in-law, Alice Marzicola of Bel Air, MD, and stepdaughters, Cheryl Luehr Flaatten (Larry), of Burlington, IA and Gayle Luehr (Marla Janes), of Berlin, WI. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12 from 5 -7 PM at Ruebel Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Saturday, June 13 at 10 AM, at Second Presbyterian Church in Little Rock.
